Glassboro, NJ – The Montclair State University softball team was bested by No. 15 Rowan University in their season finale on Saturday.
 
Montclair (17-21, 5-13 NJAC) fell 9-0 and 9-1 to the nationally-ranked Profs.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED

• ·The Profs tossed a no-hitter in game one, with Montclair reaching base on four walks and an error. Rowan scored four times in each of the first two innings before adding a single run in the third.
• ·Rowan jumped on the Red Hawks in game two, putting three runs on the board in the first. Montclair answered with one in the second. JULIANA CASILLAS and MOLLY COLLIGAN led off with singles, and a fielder's choice put runners on first and second with one out. LIZ MULLEN reached on an infield hit, scoring Casillas.
• ·The hosts tacked on three additional tallies in the second before adding a run in the fourth. RILEIGH GLYNN singled with two down in the fifth but was left stranded after a groundout ended the stanza. Rowan capped off the scoring in the fifth, scoring the final tally on a fielding error.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE

• ·Glynn, KAYLA COSENTINO, JULIANA CASILLAS, Colligan, and Mullen had hits in game two for the Red Hawks.
• ·STEPHANIE SERETIS recorded a strikeout while throwing 3 1/3 innings of relief in game two.
