Montclair, NJ – The Montclair State University volleyball team heads to Lancaster, Pa. to open up their two-day quad match weekend at Franklin & Marshall with a face off against Clarkson on Friday.

LAST TIME OUT
Montclair State went into a five-set showdown with Arcadia and came out on top with a 3-2 victory. CAMRYN MUUSS, a two-time New Jersey Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week, finished with a career-high 19 kills along with nine digs and four blocks, also career-bests. BRYN BAUTISTA notched new career-highs with 13 kills and 25 digs. KATIE RODMAN, EMMA HATCHER, and Bautista all tallied two aces in the contest. Montclair remained perfect against Arcadia in its history, posting a 6-0 mark all-time.

SCOUTING CLARKSON
The Golden Knights enter this matchup with a 2-4 overall record, but are coming off a 3-1 win against Oswego State in their last matchup. Clarkson collected a winning record last season at 14-12 and made it to the Liberty League Conference Tournament where they defeated RIT 3-2 in their first-round matchup, but fell in the semifinals to William Smith, 3-0. This season, the Golden Knights are predicted to finish third according to the Liberty League Preseason Poll.

SERIES HISTORY
Montclair and Clarkson will face each other for the third time and the first time since 2009. The series is at an even 1-1.

LAST MEETING
The Golden Knights got the better of the Red Hawks last time out, 3-0 on September 4, 2009

Montclair State heads into the final stretch of the Franklin & Marshall quad match on Saturday, September 14. They will face Virginia Wesleyan first at 12:00pm before squaring off with the host Diplomats at 2:30pm.
