LAST TIME OUT
Montclair blanked Widener 3-0 on Sunday, September 1 for their first victory of the 2024 season. KYLIE PRENDERGAST intercepted a pass in the 13th minute and slotted the ball to AILEEN CAHILL along the left side. The midfielder collected the pass and sent a centering ball to MACKENZIE ALBERT, who ripped a shot into the bottom right corner. Five minutes later, Cahill collected a loose ball in front of the net, settled it, and scored to double the lead. SHANNON MULLINS struck off a feed from Cahill in the 62nd minute for Montclair's third and final goal of the afternoon. Cahill became the fourth Red Hawk in program history to eclipse 100 career points in the contest.

SCOUTING NEW PALTZ
The Hawks edged Sage 1-0 in their season opener on August 30 and will look to build off their 8-5-5 season in 2023. New Paltz went on a seven game unbeaten streak from September 23 to October 15 to put themselves into postseason contention. They played Oswego State to a scoreless draw in the SUNYAC Tournament Quarterfinals, but ultimately fell 3-2 in penalty kicks. The Hawks were tabbed second in the 2024 SUNYAC 2024 Preseason Coaches Poll.

SERIES HISTORY
The Red Hawks have squared off with New Paltz three times in their history, claiming two victories in the all-time series. The Hawks notched a 2-0 victory in September of 1999, but Montclair evened the series in 2018 with a 4-0 shutout. The two sides met last season, with the Red Hawks claiming a 3-2 win at MSU Soccer Park. Wednesday's contest will mark the first-ever meeting to take place at New Paltz.

LAST MEETING
Montclair took down New Paltz 3-2 on September 6, 2023 at MSU Soccer Park. In the fourth minute, KYLIE PRENDERGAST slid a pass across the box to MADELINE LESICA, who deposited the ball into the back of the net. After New Paltz leveled the game six minutes later, the Red Hawks regained the lead in the 33rd minute, as AILEEN CAHILL knocked down a cross from JULIE BAKER and volleyed it past the keeper. The visitors equalized again in the 53rd minute, but Montclair answered two minutes after, as MEAGAN O'CALLAHAN looped a pass to Prendergast, who buried a shot to give the home side its eventual game-winner.
