Montclair, NJ- The Montclair State Swimming and Diving team (7-2) honored their six seniors on senior before falling in their final home meet of the season to TCNJ, 177-101 on Saturday afternoon
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Before the meet kicked off, the Red Hawks honored seniors DENNIS DELARGY, BRANDON DO, ANTHONY FERRARO, LUCAS GOMES, RYAN KAPPES, and LUCAS MIGLIN before today's meet.
- Kappes delivered a first-place finish in his final meet at home in the 1000 free with a 10:08.05. on the afternoon. He also placed fourth in the 200 back (2:02.15) and fifth in the 200 IM (2:05.26). PETER JARZAB was the only other win for the Red Hawks when he out swam the field in the 100 fly with a time of 51.77.
- In the 50 free, the Red Hawks saw two top-three finishes when LUCAS GOMES placed second with a time of 21.92 and was followed by MICHAEL WOJCIECHOWICZ who placed third with a time of 22.25. Gomes also placed second in the 100 fly with a time of 53.53
- MICHAEL SALVATORI saw a pair of second-place finishes on the afternoon in the 200 back (1:57.52) and the 200 IM (1:53.44).
- Do also found a second-place finish when he clocked a 2:12.53 in the 200 breast. He also earned a third-place finish in the 100 breast with a time of 1:01.02.

UP NEXT
Montclair State University will have a few weeks to prepare before the four-day NJAC Championships down in Hampton, Virginia. The first day of the conference championship meet will be on Thursday, February 13.
