Men's Swimming & Diving Surges Past FDU-Florham, 118-66

Montclair, NJ – The Montclair State University men's swimming & diving team surged past FDU-Florham 118-66 on Friday evening at the Panzer Athletic Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Red Hawks (6-1) were led by PETER JARZAB, who took first in three events, notching times of 22.23 (50 free), 51.08 (100 free), and 23.93 (50 fly). It marked his second victory in the 50 fly this season and surpassed his previous best of 24.04 set on November 9.
MATT DETTLINGER tallied a victory in the 200 free (1:54.37) and finished second in the 50 breast (29.79). MICHAEL SALVATORI touched the wall first in the 100 breast (1:04.24) and recorded a second place mark in the 100 fly (55.11).
Montclair also saw victories from BRANDON DO in the 50 breast (27.99), RYDER BALAY in the 50 back (26.62), and BOBBY FREECE in the 100 fly (54.65).
In the 200 medley, the group of LUCAS GOMES, JARED GAYNOR, ADRIAN GONZALEZ, and Dennis Delargy clocked a mark of 1:41.54, with the quartet of ANDREW PEARCE, Do, Balay, and Freece taking second in the event with a time of 1:41.60.

UP NEXT

The Red Hawks will travel to Puerto Rico for their annual winter training trip before returning home to host Saint Peter's on Thursday, January 16. The meet is scheduled for a 4:00 PM at the Panzer Athletic Center Pool.
