LAST TIME OUTÂ
Montclair took two wins at its tri-match up at Misericordia, outlasting Moravian, 3-2, and sweeping the host Cougars, 3-0. The Greyhounds jumped out to a 3-2 lead early, but Montclair flipped the set with a 7-2 run to get out in front, 11-5. After a duo of points for Moravian, Montclair went on an 8-1 run to jump out 19-8. Moravian battled back to a 20-14 deficit, but was closed out by a score of 25-16 with a kill fromÂ
BREANNA CRAIGÂ on the final point. Montclair kicked off the second set hot, scoring six points on four kills and two service aces to take a 6-2 advantage. The Greyhounds scored three straight points to cut the lead to one, but Montclair answered them with four unanswered, including three kills fromÂ
CAMRYN MUUSS, to get out to an 11-5 lead. Both teams exchanged points to a 15-8 lead. The Greyhounds scored six unanswered points to cut the lead back to one at 15-14. A run of 5-1 pushed Montclair back out to a comfortable lead of 20-15. At a score of 23-19, Moravian saw a huge late swing, taking seven of the next eight points to steal the second set, 26-24. In set three, Moravian kept its momentum up from the previous set with a 5-1 lead. Montclair shifted back with a 9-1 run to take a 10-6 edge. Both teams battled to an 18-16 Montclair lead, when Montclair scored seven of the next nine points to take a 25-18 set-three win. After a few early lead changes, Montclair had a slight advantage of 5-3 and carried the lead all the way to a score of 18-11. A massive swing for Moravian saw a run of 11-1 to give them a 22-19. Both teams then exchanged points up to the Greyhounds, forcing a fifth set by a set-four score of 25-23. Set five saw Moravian jump out to a 5-3 lead early. Montclair responded with nine-straight points that included three service aces fromÂ

BRYN BAUTISTA. That run led to the Red Hawks holding on for a 15-7 set-five win and clinched the match.

An early 5-2 lead kept Montclair ahead of the set. Misericordia tied the match up at 8-8, but two bad sets in a row put Montclair back in front. The Cougars fought back again to a tie of 11-11, but four unanswered points that included kills from Muuss andÂ
SOFIA DIPROFIOÂ pushed the Red Hawks out to a 15-11 lead. Misericordia once again battled back, inching the lead to 15-14 before an 8-2 swing put Montclair out in front, 23-16. Despite a 6-1 run from MU, the Red Hawks held on for a 25-22 win in set one. The two teams battled back and forth to a 5-5 tie. A 9-3 run by the Red Hawks jumped them to a 14-8 advantage. Misericordia was never able to battle back, and Montclair rode its way to a 25-17 win behind kills from five different Red Hawks. The Cougars, hoping to avoid a sweep, pushed out to a 5-1 lead. Montclair responded with a 6-1 run to take a 7-6 lead. Misericordia notched back-to-back points before Montclair scored seven of the next nine points to hold a 14-10 advantage. Again, Misericordia scored the next two points, but was unable to close the gap the rest of the way. Montclair rode its way to a 25-19 set-three win and earned the sweep.

SCOUTING MORAVIANÂ
The Roadrunners enter this match 15-5 with a 3-1 record in the NJAC. They are coming off a clean sweep of Lehman in their last time out on Friday. In 2024, Ramapo struggled with a 4-17 record and a 1-7 NJAC record that ultimately saw them miss the tournament. According to the 2025 NJAC Preseason Poll, they were projected to place seventh this season.
