Montclair, NJ – The Montclair State University men's basketball team and head coach Justin Potts have unveiled the program's 2025-26 schedule.
The Red Hawks' slate features 25 games, including 11 contests inside the Panzer Athletic Center, 14 road matchups, one in-season tournament, and 18 New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) games.
Montclair State opens the campaign at the Penn State-Harrisburg Tip-Off Classic on November 8-9, facing Dickinson on opening night before squaring off with the host Lions the following day. After a road matchup at Alvernia on November 15, the Red Hawks make their home debut on November 19 against Gettysburg.
Conference play begins soon after, as Montclair hosts Rowan (November 25), William Paterson (December 3), and Rutgers-Camden (December 13), while traveling to Rutgers-Newark (December 6) and Ramapo (December 10). The Red Hawks close out the calendar year with a non-conference trip to Maritime on December 16, followed by a New Year's Eve showdown at St. Joseph's (Conn.).
The Red Hawks ring in 2026 with their final non-conference matchup, hosting Albertus Magnus on January 4. From there, Montclair returns to NJAC action with home contests against Stockton (January 10) and TCNJ (January 14), along with road trips to New Jersey City (January 7) and Kean (January 17).
The second half of the conference schedule will see the Red Hawks play host to Rutgers-Newark (January 24), Ramapo (February 4), New Jersey City (February 11), and Kean (February 14). They will also travel to Rowan (January 21), William Paterson (January 28), Rutgers-Camden (January 31), Stockton (February 7), and TCNJ (February 18).
The NJAC Tournament begins with the quarterfinals on February 21, followed by the semifinals on February 25, and the championship game on February 28.
Montclair State enters the new season coming off one of the most successful campaigns in program history. The Red Hawks finished 22-7, capturing both the NJAC Regular Season and Tournament Championships, while hosting an NCAA Tournament pod for the first time in program history and earning their first NCAA Tournament victory since 2002-03.
