How It Happened

  • Muhlenberg struck first, capitalizing on a woman-up opportunity to score at the 12:42 mark of the first quarter. The Mules quickly added three more unanswered goals in the following four minutes, jumping out to a 4–0 lead. Montclair responded with two goals in a 19-second span—LEXI ROBINSON and AMRA LUKOVIC each found the back of the net to cut the deficit to 4–2. Muhlenberg, however, regained control with four more goals, taking an 8–2 lead into the second quarter.
  • The Red Hawks managed five shots in the second quarter but couldn't convert, while the Mules extended their lead with three additional goals to head into halftime up 11–2.
  • Lukovic opened the second half with her second goal of the night, scoring on a woman-up free-position attempt less than two minutes in. NORAH MONAGHAN followed with a goal three minutes later, trimming the margin to 11–4. However, Muhlenberg halted the Red Hawks' momentum with a four-goal run, extending their lead to 15–4 heading into the final quarter.

Montclair's defense then held the Mules scoreless for the remainder of the game while adding three more goals, but it wasn't enough to close the gap.
