Louisville, Ky. — The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) announced Friday afternoon that three members of the Montclair State University softball team have been named to the 2025 All-Region IV Team in recognition of their outstanding performances this season.
Outfielders RILEIGH GLYNN and SOPHIA ALONSO earned spots on the Second Team, while utility player CARLEE IANNONE was selected to the Third Team.
Glynn, a senior, capped off her final season as a Red Hawk with an impressive .374 batting average, collecting 43 hits, 5 RBIs, and scoring 26 runs. She led the NJAC with 36 stolen bases—tied for 19th nationally in Division III—and recorded the second-highest single-season total in school history. Defensively, she contributed 63 putouts, one assist, and maintained a .985 fielding percentage. This honor adds to her All-NJAC Second Team selection this season and her First Team All-NJAC recognition from last year.
Alonso made an immediate impact in her freshman season, starting all 41 games. She led the Red Hawks in OPS (1.002), batting average (.400), hits (50), triples (6), and runs scored (35). Additionally, she tallied 16 RBIs, six doubles, and 18 stolen bases. Her six triples tied for the NJAC lead.
Iannone, a junior in her first year with Montclair State, showcased her versatility by playing catcher, first base, and designated player. She posted a .371 batting average and led the team with 30 RBIs, along with 36 hits, nine doubles, one triple, one home run, and eight runs scored. Defensively, she recorded 125 putouts, five assists, and a .984 fielding percentage. This honor complements her All-NJAC Second Team selection for the 2025 season.
Montclair State concluded its 2025 campaign with a 24–17 overall record and a 9–9 mark in NJAC play. The Red Hawks entered the NJAC Tournament as the sixth seed and advanced to the third round, highlighted by their first playoff win since 2019—a 6–4 victory over Stockton in the second round.
