Montclair, NJ- Announced on Tuesday afternoon by the College Sports Communicators (CSC) organization, the Montclair State University football team saw five of its student-athletes get honored by being named to the list in 2025.

The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Football teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes football honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.

To be eligible for the Academic All-District team, student-athletes must be at least sophomores, hold a 3.5 cumulative GPA, and have either played in 90% of games or started 66% of them.

Representing Montclair State University in 2025 were

Buchwald notched his spot by starting all 10 games and holding a 3.81 GPA as a history major. The First Team All-NJAC honoree finished his final collegiate campaign with 76 total tackles (41 solo), 12 tackles for loss, five pass breakups, a forced fumble, an interception, and a blocked kick. His highlight performance came in the season opener at Merchant Marine, where he broke the single-game tackles for loss record with six in the contest.

Diaz earned his spot as a starter in eight games this season and maintains a 3.76 GPA as a business administration major with a concentration in real estate. Diaz played a vital role in helping guide an offense that ranked in the top four in the NJAC across every major statistical category. Behind him, Montclair rushed for a school-record 27 touchdowns, and the offensive line surrendered just six sacks all year.

Fano stamped his name on the list as a nine-game starter and with a 3.85 cumulative GPA as an exercise science major. A Second Team All-NJAC selection, he was a key component of an MSU offense that ranked among the conference's best and helped produce the record-setting 27 rushing touchdowns. He also added three receptions for 26 yards.

Rubinetti secured his spot on the Academic All-District team by playing all 10 games while maintaining a 3.96 GPA as a business administration major with a concentration in marketing. Rubinetti has a spectacular season, earning NJAC Special Teams Player of the Year, First Team All-NJAC, and D3football.com Third Team All-Region II accolades. He finished 10-for-12 on field goals, delivering two game-winners, including a 37-yarder in the 30–27 victory over TCNJ in the home finale. As the team's punter, he averaged 36.4 yards per kick, placed six punts inside the 20, and recorded three punts over 50 yards. He also averaged 45.4 yards per kickoff and converted 26 PATs, while earning three NJAC Special Teams Player of the Week awards—most in the conference this season.

Visalli rounds out the Red Hawks squad as a 10-game starter with a 3.85Â GPA as an exercise science major. A Second Team All-NJAC selection, he finished the year with 60 tackles, a team-best two interceptions, three pass breakups, a fumble recovery, and a blocked kick. His top performance came on Homecoming against Wilkes, where he posted 11 tackles (four solo) and a pass breakup.

Visalli notched Academic All-District in back-to-back seasons while the rest of the field earned it for the first time.

Football finished the 2025 season with a 5-5 overall record and a 4-3 record in NJAC play.
