Following a face-off win by JACOB HOLICKI, the Red Hawks had a man-up opportunity, where Slusser buried another goal off an assist from Kelly. Maritime won the ensuing face-off, but CORBIN QUINTERO forced a turnover to regain possession for Montclair. The next possession, KAI DONAHUE assisted Morosoff for another goal at 11:38, and the Red Hawks jumped out to a 6-3 lead. At 6:31, Martime set up a clear attempt, but a pass was intercepted by SEAN STEPHENSON, who dished the ball to Kelly for another goal. Montclair was able to keep Maritime off the board the entire quarter, and Halse made four stops down the stretch in the quarter to help provide a 7-3 edge heading into halftime. The Red Hawks came out of the halftime intermission hot, scoring three goals in the first two minutes of the third. The opening possession saw JACKSON SIMONS fit a cross formation pass through to KAI DONAHUE, who fired in a goal. That possession was followed by Vierbuchen assisting Slusser for his third goal of the game. A slashing penalty on Maritime gave Montclair another man-up opportunity that they converted with Vierbuchen finding Slusser for a commanding 10-3 lead. The Privateers tried to rally with a pair of goals between 11:33 and 10:36, but Kelly halted the run with a goal at 8:04. Martime sank to goals with under three minutes in the period, and the game posted a score of 11-7 Red Hawks after three quarters of play. A few shots from Simons went wide in the early portion of the fourth. Montclair's ride held firm on a Maritime clear attempt to help them keep possession for Kelly to bury another shot into the back of the net for a 12-7 lead. The Privateers answered with another goal at 8:24, but were plagued again with a penalty that Montclair capitalized on with Slusser converting his third man-up goal of the game. That goal was followed up by one from Vierbuchen off a pass from JACK HICKAM, and Montclair held a 14-8 lead with 4:59 remaining. Each team found one more goal down the stretch. The Privateers scored at 3:24, and RYAN BROWN put the stamp on the game with a goal with 44 seconds remaining off a pass from Morosoff to secure the 15-9 win.
