Men’s Lacrosse Routs Immaculata in Season Finale, 17-6

Montclair, NJ. – The Montclair State University men's lacrosse team (12-3) concluded its 2026 season with a bang, routing Immaculata (10-5) 17-6 in its season finale.

How It Happened

  • The Red Hawks were dominant from the first whistle. On the first possession of the game, BRIAN KELLY found JONATHAN SLUSSER for the game's first goal just over a minute into the frame. The Mighty Macs turned the ball over on their first possession, which led to another Red Hawk goal, this time from JACKSON SIMONS. The two teams traded possessions before KAI DONAHUE scored at 5:46 with an assist going to RYAN VIERBUCHEN for a 3-0 lead. Both teams traded forced turnovers, and again it was Montclair with the momentum when MAX MOROSOFF scored from Kelly to put the lead up to four goals. In the final minute and a half of the first, Vierbuchen found the back of the net at 1:19 and then dished an assist to MAX MOROSOFF with 18 seconds left, and set the score at 6-0 after one.
  • Donahue started the scoring in the second quarter with a goal at 13:27. Immaculata finally scored its first goal of the game during its next possession, but HENRY NORDSTROM answered back with a goal to put the score at 8-1. Another Mighty Mac goal was once again answered with a goal by MAX MOROSOFF at the 4:21 timestamp. Both teams traded shots down the stretch, including two from Immaculata that were denied by NICHOLI HALSE. A penalty on the Red Hawks at the end of the quarter left them man-down going into halftime, but they were up on the score, 9-2.
  • Montclair was able to kill the penalty, and following a failed clear, LOGAN LAMARCA took a pass from Morosoff and scored to get Montclair into double digits. KETCHELL TERZAKIS followed up with a goal from Vierbuchen that pushed the advantage to 11-2. Vierbuchen and Terzakis each scored again at 8:01 and 4:18, respectively. The Mighty Macs scored two goals in the final 33 seconds of the quarter, and Montclair held a 13-4 edge heading into the final frame.
  • Immaculata scored first, but was answered on the next Red Hawk possession by Morosoff. Halse made another save and set up a good, clear transition for Morosoff to find Slusser to put the Red Hawks up 15-5. Coming off a timeout at 5:22, both teams changed goalies with NOAH KARABAN getting the nod for Montclair. TORRIAN ELLIS scored shortly after, and was followed by CARTER FINNEN with a goal at 4:08. Immaculata put the final goal on the scoreboard with 3:12 remaining, and Montclair finished the season with a strong 17-6 win.
