Pitman, NJ- Announced on Wednesday afternoon by the New Jersey Athletic Conference office (NJAC), Montclair State University senior goalkeeper collected her third career NJAC Goalkeeper of the Year award. She was also joined by three other Red Hawks, for a total of four, named to the All-NJAC list in 2026.
Grotkopf was named Co-Goalkeeper of the Year along with TCNJ's Hailey Wexler and was also a First Team selection. Joining her on the First Team are
AMRA LUKOVIC and
LEXI ROBINSON.
SAMANTHA HANDZO earned her spot on the Second Team.
Grotkopf started all 14 games for the Red Hawks this season and finished her season with 92 saves, an 11.94 goals against average, a 7.08 saves per game average, and a .416 save percentage. Her 92 saves, 7.08 saves per game, and .416 save percentage all ranked in the top three in the NJAC this season. Joey's exceptional career includes four First Team All-NJAC selections and three NJAC Goalkeeper of the Year honors.
Lukovic, who started all 14 games this season, tallied 28 goals and seven assists for 35 points to go along with 21 groundballs, 61 draw controls, and 12 caused turnovers. His 4.69 draw controls per game ranked second in the NJAC, and her 61 draw controls were tied for the second-best mark in the NJAC. Amra earned her second All-NJAC First Team selection.
Robinson was a 14-game starter and accumulated 42 points on 27 goals and 15 assists to go along with 23 ground balls, 18 caused turnovers, and 12 draw controls. Her 1.15 assists per game ranked eighth in the NJAC, and her 3.23 points per game ranked 10
th in the conference this season. Lexi earned her first All-NJAC accolade in her final season.
Handzo was an every-game starter and finished her senior season with 40 groundballs, 23 caused turnovers, and 10 draw controls. Her 3.08 groundballs per game ranked fifth in the NJAC this season, and her 1.77 caused turnovers per game ranked 10
th this year in the conference. Handzo nabbed her second All-NJAC award, improving on the Honorable Mention selection that she got last season.
Montclair finished its 2026 season with a 6-8 overall record with a 2-3 record in the NJAC.
