Cross Country Releases 2026 Schedule

Montclair, NJ - The Montclair State University Cross Country team unveiled its 2026 meet schedule on Thursday afternoon.

The Red Hawks are set to compete in five regular season meets, with the potential for up to three postseason events.

Montclair will kick off the campaign at the Blue/Gold Invitational, hosted by The College of New Jersey, on Friday, August 28, and following a week off will return to action at the Bill Fritz Cross Country Open on Friday, September 11 in Logan Township, NJ. The Red Hawks will conclude their September slate by competing at the Osprey Open, hosted by Stockton University, on Saturday, September 19.

Following a week off, Montclair will travel to the Paul Short Run, hosted by Lehigh University, on Friday, October 2. They will close out the regular season two weeks later on Saturday, October 17 at the Rowan Border Battle.

The postseason will begin on Saturday, October 31, as the Red Hawks will participate at the New Jersey Athletic Conference Championships, hosted by TCNJ. Qualifying runners will advance to the Metrion Regional Championship on Saturday, November 14, which will be hosted by Lehigh University. The 2026 NCAA Division III Championship meet is set for Saturday, November 21 in Northfield, MN.

Montclair sent a runner to NCAA Championships for the first time in the modern iteration of the program, while also notching the highest individual finisher at NJAC Championships in the program's modern era.
