Pitman, NJ- Announced on Monday afternoon by the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) office, the Montclair State University Red Hawks saw four of its student-athletes earn NJAC Athletes of the Week for their performances between September 8 and 13.
 
Football saw a pair of awards, with DIANTE WILSON earning Offensive Player of the Week and BRENDAN MCGONIGLE earning Special Teams Player of the Week. Montclair also had two Rookies of the Week, with KAYLEE LAUBER receiving it for women's soccer and MADISON BERNHARD receiving it for women's cross country.
 
Wilson sparked the Red Hawks' offense in their 30-28 win at Lycoming. The senior back led the way with 175 yards on 31 carries and powered in three touchdowns for Montclair. His 175 yards were a career high. 
 
McGonigle came up big for Montclair during their 30-28 win at Lycoming. He hit three field goals, including one from 48 yards out and one that he hit as time expired to win the game for the Red Hawks. He also punted twice for 118 total yards (59.00 avg.) and had a punt inside the 20. 
 
Lauber was sensational during a 7-0 rout of Manhattanville on Saturday. The rookie led the way with two goals and three assists to propel the Red Hawks to a statement win. 
 
Bernhard started her career off with a strong performance on Friday at the Bill Fritz College Open. She led Montclair with a 15:50.9 4k, placed in the top three, and led the team to a win. 
 
Lauber earns this honor for the second straight week while Wilson, McGonigle and Bernhard each secure an NJAC Weekly award for the first time in their careers.
