Sarah Pasternak-McGinn

Sarah Pasternak-McGinn begins her fifth full season after joining the coaching staff in spring 2021. Before coaching with the Red Hawks, Pasternak-McGinn spent two years as an Assistant Field Hockey Coach and two years as Assistant Girl's Lacrosse Coach for Madison High School. She primarily trained the goalies for both programs while also leading the JV field hockey team. 
Prior to coaching at Madison High, Pasternak-McGinn began her coaching career with United FH Club, NXT FH Club, and HerGame International in the greater Philadelphia area during her time as a student-athlete at Immaculata University. In addition to working with the Red Hawk goalies, Pasternak-McGinn currently specializes in coaching goalies at Centercourt Field Hockey club. 
Pasternak-McGinn earned her Bachelor’s Degree in English and Secondary Education at Immaculata University. She was a four year starting goalkeeper for the Mighty Macs where she holds numerous records, including career number of Goalie Wins, Saves, and Goalie Shutouts. In the Colonial States Athletic Conference, she sits at 6th in the record book for Individual Career Record number of Saves with 606 saves in just under 4000 minutes played. While playing in the CSAC, Pasternak-McGinn was named to the Honorable Mention All-Conference team twice, and 2nd Team All-Conference once. Academically, Pasternak was recognized as a NFHCA Scholar of Distinction three times and named to the CSAC All-Academic team and NFHCA National Academic squad four times.

Before graduating in 2017 she was named the Female Scholar Athlete of the Year at Immaculata and received a nomination for NCAA Woman of the Year. She is a graduate of West Essex High School where she played for four years. Pasternak currently teaches middle school English Language Arts.
