Mike O'Neil is in his fourth season at Montclair State working with the defensive backs. O'Neil joined the Red Hawks after spending five seasons coaching at Kearny High School including two seasons as the Kardinals' defensive coordinator. O'Neil was a standout defensive lineman at Mendham High School earning several accolades including First-Team Iron Hills Conference honors in addition to being named All-Morris County and All-North Jersey. O'Neil earned his bachelor's degree from Rutgers University in 2009 and completed his master's degree from William Paterson in 2017.
