Peter Lesler enters his 10th season with the Red Hawks and returns to his role as defensive backfield coach.

Lesler came to Montclair State from Bergen Tech High School, where he spent five seasons as the head coach of the Knights taking over the program in 2006 after the previous two seasons as the Defensive Coordinator.  He began his coaching career in 1996 as an assistant at Boonton High School and later moved on to Wood-Ridge High School where he was the defensive coordinator. Lesler earned his bachelor’s degree in Psychology from William Paterson and added his master’s degree in teaching from Marygrove College in Detroit, Michigan.

He currently serves as a math teacher in the Haskell School in Haskell, NJ. Lesler resides in Ringwood with his wife Kelly and two children Jack and Abby.
