Tariq Turner is in his first season on the coaching staff moving over to the sidelines following a four-year career which ended in 2014. He will assist with running backs and fullbacks. Turner earned All-NJAC First-Team honors last season rushing for 445 yards and scoring four touchdowns while helping the Red Hawks to a share of the NJAC Championship. Turner finished second on the team in rushing and posted a career-best 114 yards and a touchdown in the season finale at Kean as MSU posted a 16-14 win to earn a share of the conference crown. Turner, who also played on special teams throughout his career, ran for 686 yards averaging 4.3 yards per carry.
