Tom Fischer returns to Montclair State for his first season and will coach the Red Hawk wide receivers. Fischer was one of the top quarterbacks in MSU history from 2008-2011 as he led MSU to three postseason appearances, including back-to-back NCAA Playoff trips in 2009 and 2010. Fischer was a two-time All-NJAC selection, including a First-Team pick in 2010 when he was named the NJACs Offensive Player of the Year. In 2009, Fischer helped MSU to the first of its consecutive league championships throwing for 2092 yards and 14 touchdowns as the Red Hawks advanced to the second round of the NCAA Playoffs. The next years,Fischer tossed a career-best 22 touchdowns and amassed 2,341 yards in the air as MSU repeated as NJAC champions and advanced to the second round of the NCAAs for a second straight season. Fischer, who posted a record of 32-7 as a starter in his career, is ranked second all-time in pass completions (525) and is third in attempts (951), yards (6,892) and touchdowns (51).
