  • Title
    Assistant Coach
Daniel Crotty enters his second season as an assistant coach, primarily focusing on defense, for the Montclair State men's lacrosse team.

The former Stevens Institute of Technology standout was a key member of two conference championships teams, serving as team captain, earning three All-Conference selections, the 2021 Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom Defensive Player of the Year, and 2021 United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) All-American honors.

Starting 56 of his 75 appearances with the Ducks, Crotty finished his career with more than 200 ground balls and 100 caused turnovers, leading the team in both categories during the 2018 season. Off the field, he was made the Dean’s List and was a 2020 Academic All-American.

Crotty spent the Summer of 2017 as a coach and tournament operations intern with Trilogy Lacrosse LLC in Jersey City, NJ, organizing and directing five lacrosse tournaments throughout the east coast while simultaneously coaching middle school-aged athletes.

Prior to his days at Stevens, Crotty spent five years as a coach with Turn and Burn Lacrosse LLC in his native North Carolina, coaching elementary through high school-aged athletes in various camps, clinics, and club teams.
