Michael Cullen begins his eighth season with the Red Hawks after a brilliant career in which he helped the Red Hawks to four consecutive NJAC Championship from 2006-09 as well as four trips to the NCAA Division III Men's Soccer Championship.

Appearing in 75 games in his career, Cullen scored 20 goals and added 16 assists for 56 points. In 2009, he was the recipient of the NJAC David Logar Award, given annually to the player who best displays the attributes of leadership and courage. Cullen led Montclair State in goals (10), assists (7) and points (27) in addition to scoring four game-winning goals. In addition Cullen was named First-Team All-NJAC and also landed spots on the ECAC All-Star and National Soccer Coaches Association South-Atlantic All-Region Second Team.
