Owen Murphy joined the men's soccer coaching staff prior to the start of the 2025 season after spending four years with the program as a student-athlete.

During his four years as a student-athlete, Murphy started all 82 of his appearances, notching 10 goals and 15 assists over 5,910 minutes. He was named NJAC Midfielder of the Year and United Soccer Coaches Association First Team All-Region in 2023 after helping lead the team to a NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 run. Murphy was named First Team All-NJAC twice, along with Second Team All-NJAC honors in 2022. 

Murphy also serves as an Assistant Coach for Players Development Academy's U16-U19 MLS Next age groups.
