Brooke Powers

Brooke Powers joined the Montclair State University Softball staff the fall of 2016.

Powers was a 3 year starter as a pitcher and outfielder, graduating in January 2017 with an undergraduate degree in Business Administration, with a concentration in sports, event, and tourism marketing and management. She later went on to get for Master’s Degree in Sports Administration and Coaching at Montclair State University in the Spring of 2019. This will be the sixth season that Powers will be holding the position as assistant coach for the MSU Softball team. She works with both pitchers and hitters, while also working all fielders. Powers also holds the responsibility of recruiting. Powers is also currently giving pitching, hitting, and fielding lessons at a facility in Wharton, NJ.

During her career at Montclair State University Powers was selected as team captain both her junior and senior year. She also was given the opportunity to play in Italy in 2015, gaining experience playing other international teams.At MSU she was an All-NJAC selection and NFCA All-Region Selection all three years (2014-2016). Powers also got the opportunity to compete in the Division III World Series in Tyler, Texas in 2014. In her career at MSU Powers collected 148 hits, 109 RBI with 14 homers, 27 doubles and 99 runs scored finishing in the top 20 all-time at MSU in each category including eighth in home runs and runs batted in. Powers also attended Ithaca College her freshman year of college and was the starting designated hitter for the 2013 season, earning First Team all conference and an All-Region selection.

Powers attended Pope John XXIII Regional High School in Sparta, NJ, where she was a four-year starter at both pitcher and first base. Powers was an All-Herald first-team selection all 4 years of high school while also being named team captain her junior and senior year.
