Montclair State University Athletics

Jack Smithlin joined the Montclair coaching staff in 2020.

Smithlin brings 40 years of varsity coaching experience to the Red Hawks after coaching at Fair Lawn, Park Ridge and Wood-Ridge high schools. He is a member of the Fair Lawn High School Hall of Fame and has previously been named the Group 4 and Bergen County Coach of the Year.

He has also worked with the Nike Softball Camp as a Director and Head Hitting Instructor. Smithlin also brings 44 years of teaching Physical Education and Health at the high school and middle school levels.
