    Assistant Coach
Julia Acevedo joined the Cross Country and Track & Field coaching staffs after spending her final season of eligibility with the program in 2024-25.

In the fall of 2025, Acevedo was part of the staff that helped guide Abigail Churchill to the best season by a cross country runner in the modern era of the program at Montclair. Churchill received USTFCCA All-Region and First Team All-NJAC recognition, becoming the first Red Hawk in the modern era to qualify for NCAA Division III Championships. She won a pair of meets in the early stages of the campaign, and became the first in program history to run a sub 22 minute 6K, doing so at NCAA Division III Metrio Region Championships with a school record 21:58.1.

As an athlete, Acevedo captured All-NJAC recognition in both indoor and outdoor events during her graduate year with the Red Hawks. During indoor season, she collected Honorable Mention honors in pentathlon and triple jump, becoming the first Montclair athlete to medal in the pentathlon at the NJAC Championship. In the spring, she collected Second Team recognition in the triple jump with a career-best mark at NJAC Championships. Prior to Montclair, Acevedo competed at Susquehanna from 2020-2024.
