Brittany Casares moves from the playing field to the sidelines as she joins the Red Hawk staff in 2013. Casares finished up her career last season helping Montclair State to the NJAC Championship and second-round appearance in the NCAA Division III Women's Soccer Championship. One of the most well-respected players in the program, Casares appeared in 33 career games, including nine last season. She scored her first career goal converting a penalty kick against Centenary which proved to be even more important down the road as two months later in the biggest moment of her career she was called upon to take a penalty kick in the NJAC Championship Game against Kean which she converted as Montclair went on to claim its first conference title since 2004. Named the team's Player's Player award recipient for two consecutive years, Casares was named the recipient of the Montclair State James J. Poet Sportsmanship Award in June 2013.
