Dr. Pam Kopfensteiner returns for her fifth season with the Red Hawks.Kopfensteiner came to Montclair State  following an outstanding playing career at Johns Hopkins University. A team-captain for the Blue Jays, Kopefensteiner helped JHU to four consecutive Centennial Conference titles, including a historic 21-1 campaign last year as Johns Hopkins reached the “Sweet 16” of the NCAA Division III Tournament for the fourth straight season.  Kopfensteiner was a three-year starter appearing in 74 games as a defender while registering four assists in her senior season. She also excelled in the classroom earning several honors, including Capital One Academic All-America® First Team honors in 2011 in addition to being an All-District selection in 2009 and 2010. Kopfensteiner was also named to the Centennial Conference Sportsmanship Team. A native of Upper Saddle River, NJ, Kopfensteiner was a scholastic standout at Northern Highlands where she earned All-Conference and All-County accolades while helping the Highlanders to pair of league and county championships. Kopfensteiner was a double major at Johns Hopkins in Cognitive Science and Psychology and earned her degree from the University in May 2013.
