Mike Gagliano is in his fifth season with the Red Hawks and brings nearly three decades of playing and coaching experience.
Gagliano spent 2014 with F.C. Copa where he trained and mentored U15 and U18 squads. An All-State scholastic standout at Seton Hall Prep, Gagliano played at Long Island University and then St. Francis University (PA) excelling both academically and athletically for the Northeast Conference schools. Gagliano began his coaching career in 2007 in the Parsippany Soccer Club managing both boys and girls teams. He also has coached in various leagues throughout New Jersey including MAPS, JAGS, Region 1, Super Y-League, and NPL and has guided teams to the Super-Y League National Finals (twice) and the US Club National Finals, in addition to finals appearances in multiple tournaments such as NEWWS, EDP Cup, and MSSL.
Gagliano is also active in high school soccer. He spent two seasons as the head boys’ soccer coach at Bloomfield High School leading the Bengals to a conference title in 2013. Gagliano holds a USSF D License, an NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching License, NSCAA Special Topics Diplomas in Reading the Game, Managing the Match, and Principles of Defending. Gagliano graduated from St. Francis Summa Cum Laude in 2010 with a degree in Elementary and Special Education in addition to a minor in English Literature Studies. He earned his master’s degree in principal leadership from Arizona State in May and is currently an elementary school teacher at Berkeley Elementary in Bloomfield.
