Montclair State University Athletics

Marta Matera is in her second season with the Red Hawks. Matera joined the Montclair State following an outstanding career at nearby Fairleigh Dickinson University at Florham where she served as the Devils’ libero. During her career from 2008-11, Matera helped the team to 101 victories, which included a record-setting 33-8 mark in 2010 as FDU-Florham reached the finals of the Freedom Conference Tournament while also capturing the ECAC Upstate championship. A native of East Brunswick, NJ, Matera is the FDU all-time leader in digs with 2,135 in addition to holding the third and fourth single-season marks with 625 and 594, respectively.
