Meghan Carpenter

Meghan (Bartsch) Carpenter is in her 12th season and came to Montclair State following a four-year career at Rider University that ended in 2013.

She was part of both coaching staffs that set the program's single season record in wins, as the Red Hawks posted 26 in 2016 and 2025. She was also part of the staff that guided Camryn Muuss to become the first regional major award winner in program history, as she earned AVCA Region Four Freshman of the Year honors in 2024.

In addition, she was a member of the Broncs Leadership Development Program, SAAC and was the captain of the team in 2012. She was a scholastic standout at Cranford High School serving as the team captain in her senior year. She helped Cranford to the Union County Championship in 2007 and was a two-time All-State selection as well as being named First-Team All-Union County and Mountain Valley Conference pick. She also spent eight years with the Atlantic Valley Volleyball Club, including four seasons as a coach.

While playing for AVVC, she  was a member of the 17 National team that finished first in GEVA which qualified them to play in Junior Nationals. She went to serve as an assistant coach for the 16 regional team in 2011 and 2012 and was the assistant coach of the 14 national team.

Bartsch graduated from Rider with her degree in Behavioral Neuroscience.
