Matt DeLuca is in his third year as the Athletic Communications Coordinator after joining the department in January of 2023.
In this role, he oversees all content production, graphic design, and social media content for Montclair State University Athletics. He also oversees day-to-day responsibilities with statistics, website maintenance, game previews, and game recaps. DeLuca also is the primary Athletics contact for all media requests for student-athletes, coaches, and staff, along with being the Athletics liason for the Red Hawk Sports Network, aiding in the production of live broadcasts and features on Montclair's athletic programs, student-athletes, and coaches.
Prior to Montclair, DeLuca spent two years with the New York Red Bulls in various communications roles across all three levels of the organization. He served as the primary media contact for New York Red Bulls II while also running the club's social media accounts, where he grew the follower count by over 10,000 and helped bring over three million video views. He also spent four years with FC Monmouth, a semi-professional soccer club in the National Premier Soccer League, as well as two years with the WNBA and NBA G League in a statistics-based role.
DeLuca is a 2019 graduate of Monmouth University, where he completed his Bachelor of Arts degree in communication. He worked at WMCX 88.9 FM, the school's student-run radio station, and served as the Sports Director his final two years, overseeing, producing, and broadcasting over 150 live games across five sports.
