Rebecca Matasker begins her ninth season as an assistant coach moving to the sidelines following a successful four-year career from 2013-16.

She was part of the coaching staff that matched the program's single season record in wins with 26 in 2025, matching the mark she set during her playing career in 2016. Matasker was also part of the staff that guided Camryn Muuss to become the first regional major award winner in program history, as she earned AVCA Region Four Freshman of the Year honors in 2024.

Matasker appeared in 115 matches for MSU and was an instrumental part in helping the Red Hawks to the NJAC Championship and NCAA Tournament in 2016. She totaled 561 kills and 216 blocks during her career including 225 kills and 98 blocks in her senior season when MSU set the school record for victories with 26. She finished her career ranked seventh all-time for blocks.
