Tafro, the NJAC Offensive Player of the Week, helped top-ranked Montclair State to a pair of wins last week as the Red Hawks went on the road and beat New Paltz and Meriscordia. MSU is off to a 6-0 start for the second time in three years and has won 28 of its last 30 games dating back to last season. Tafro registered seven points on three goals and an assist as she raised her team-leading total to 16 points this season. She scored what turned out to be the game-winning goal in MSU's 3-1 win at New Paltz and then had two goals and an assist in the 5-0 win at Misericordia. The seven points by Tafro gave her 83 points for her career tying her with Jen Soss  (2003-06) for fourth on the all-time MSU list. She also tied Kristen Swartz (2003-06) for seventh on the goals list with 32. Tafro currently leads the NJAC in all three scoring categories – points (16), goals (6) and assists (4).
