Tobie, named for the sixth time this season and 13th time in her career, was chosen as the NJAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week after helping the No. 8 Red Hawks to the NCAA Sectional Tournament for the second consecutive season. She first recorded 16 points, three rebounds, one assist, two steals, and four blocks in a 78-51 NCAA first-round victory over Regis.
The next day she tallied 30 points, including 18 in the second half and overtime, along with nine rebounds, one assist, four steals, and five blocks during a 78-73 come-from-behind overtime victory over Cabrini in the NCAA Tournament second round. Tobie, who became the first MSU player to surpass the 500-point mark in a single season since 1991, currently ranks second in the NJAC in scoring (18.7 points per game) and leads the league in blocks and assist-turnover ratio while ranking third in field goal percentage and assists and fourth in free throw percentage.
