Byrne was named the New Jersey Athletic Conference Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week becoming the first Red Hawk to capture the award since All-American Heather Gearity was selected in 2012. Byrne recorded the lone first-place finish for MSU at the CTC Indoor Championships on Sunday at Wesleyan University helping the Red Hawks to a third-place finish. Byrne captured the 60 meter hurdles with an ECAC Championship qualifying time of 9.09 seconds. She also placed sixth in the 400 meters with a time of 1:02.21 and was the leadoff leg of the 4x400 relay team that finished second in a time of 4:09.13. Byrne currently sports the top time in the NJAC in the 60 meter hurdles and she also ranks in the Top 15 in the conference in the 400 meters. Montclair also currently owns the No. 3 time in the NJAC in the 4x400 relay.
