Kessler was named the NJAC Men's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week honors after competing at the CTC Championship at Rowan University where MSU placed second overall. He won the javelin event in a field of 11 competitors, registering an ECAC qualifying mark of 54.29. He also placed sixth in a field of 11 throwers in the hammer throw, registering a distance of 40.23. Kessler's performance in the javelin ranks as the best NJAC throw in the event this season, while his performance in the hammer throw ranks sixth in the NJAC.
