McKinnon posted a double-double with 19 points and 13 rebounds as Montclair State opened its NJAC slate with a 58-52 victory over William Paterson in its only game of the week. McKinnon handed out five assists and shots 7-of-12 from the field while making all four free throws. McKinnon hit a key layup with 1:46 left giving Montclair (3-1) a 49-45 lead and then hit the final four free throws in the closing minute to seal the victory for the Red Hawks.
