Montclair State University Athletics

Tafro helped the No. 3 Red Hawks to their first New Jersey Athletic Conference Championship as Montclair earned its first league title as well as an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Field Hockey Championship. Tafro tallied eight points in the two games on three goals and two assists.  After scoring a goal and getting an assist in a 6-1 semifinal win versus William Paterson, Tafro had a hand in all three goals as MSU claimed the championship with a 3-0 win over Rowan. Tafro helped MSU extend its winning streak to 17 games as Montclair improved to 19-1, the 19 victories tying the season record. Tafro currently leads the NJAC in assists with 13 and is third in both goals (15) and points scored. Her 43 points is also the fourth-best single-season total in school history.
