Upper Montclair, NJ (10/01/01) - The Montclair State University women's soccer team rebounded from its first loss of the 2001 campaign with a 6-1 victory over Fairleigh Dickinson-Madison at Sprague Field.
The Red Hawks, who suffered a 1-0 loss to Rowan University on Sept. 29 that snapped their eight-game unbeaten streak, scored five times in the second half this evening to defeat the visiting Devils. MSU, which enjoyed a 23-5 shot advantage tonight, improves to 7-1-2 overall, while FDU falls to 3-7-1. It was also MSU's fifth straight win against FDU since 1995.
