Hart's Goal Pushes Women's Soccer Past Rutgers-Camden

Upper Montclair, NJ - Junior defender SHANNON HART (Toms River, NJ/Toms River East) connected on a left footer from 15-yards out with 3:54 left in the first overtime period as Montclair State topped Rutgers-Camden, 1-0 in NJAC Women's Soccer action at Sprague Field.

In a tight defensive battle, the Red Hawks (10-2-3, 5-1-1 NJAC) finally broke through in the 102nd minute as LAUREN ROTA (Franklin Lakes, NJ/Indian Hills) pushed a pass to Hart on the right side at the 20 yard line.

Hart then dribbled up five yards before launching a left footer that curved just inside the far left post. It was the fourth goal of the season for Hart.

The Scarlet Raptors (8-4-2, 3-3 NJAC) had a golden opportunity to score in the first half, but NICOLE LAURI'S (Laurel Springs, NJ/Paul VI) shot hit the post. Lauri then got a foot on the rebound, but it was stopped by MSU goalkeeper
