Ewing, NJ --- The Montclair State University men's soccer team suffered a 3-0 loss to The College of New Jersey at Lions' Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 27, in a New Jersey Athletic Conference match. MontclairState falls to 6-10-2 overall (1-5-2 NJAC), while TCNJ finishes its 2001 campaign at 8-7-2 (4-5 NJAC).

Montclair sophomore goalkeeper PHILLIP BATTIATO (Ringoes, NJ/Hunterdon Central) stopped eight of 10 shots on goal in playing the first half for the Red Hawks. MSU senior netminder ALEX LUNA (Newark, NJ/Hudson Catholic) stopped four of five shots on goal in playing the second half.

Montclair closes out its 2001 regular season on Monday, Oct. 29, with MSU Senior Day against the University of Scranton (PA) Royals at MSU Soccer Park at Pittser Field. Senior festivities are scheduled to precede the start of the game, which is slated to begin at 2:00 p.m.
