Secaucus, NJ (10/03/01) - The Montclair State University women's soccer team played to a 2-2 double-overtime tie tonight at Stevens Institute of Technology. The Red Hawks move to 7-1-3 for the 2001 campaign, while Stevens is 10-0-1.

MSU took a 2-0 lead in the first half on goals by sophomore KRISTIN WEBER (Union, NJ/Union) at 7:21 and freshman forward STEPHANIE SABALIAUSKAS (Edison, NJ/Mount St. Mary's Academy) at 22:23.

Freshman forward VALERIE BARNHART (Gilbertsville, PA/Boyertown Area) pulled the Ducks to within 2-1 by converting a penalty kick at 51:19, before classmate MILIA GEORGE (Massapequa Park, NY/Massapequa) tied the game off a corner kick at 59:06.

Junior goalkeeper STEPHANIE ROMANKO (North Brunswick, NJ/North Brunswick) finished with two saves for the Red Hawks, while sophomore netminder ROMMY GUEVARA (Kearny, NJ/Kearny) made 15 stops for the Ducks as MSU outshot Stevens, 26-7. Montclair also outcornered the Ducks, 10-1.
