The Montclair State University women's basketball team snapped a three-game winless string with a 64-58 win at Hunter College on Monday, Dec. 8, in New York City. JASMINE BATTS led Montclair with 25 points, 10 rebounds and five steals, while STEPHANIE CROLEY paced MSU (4-5) with 11 rebounds and six assists. Batts has now led MSU in scoring eight times in nine games. Jen Rogers led the host Hawks with 11 points.
The Red Hawks won by outscoring Hunter, 37-31, in the second half after the two teams played to a 27-27 tie in the first 20 minutes. MSU has now won three straight games against Hunter dating back to last season, including an ECAC Metro Tournament victory.
The Red Hawks will close out the semester on Wednesday, Dec. 12, at 6:00 p.m. against Salisbury at Panzer Gymnasium.
