CHRIS BARAN each homered as Montclair State completed a weekend sweep of Bridgewater College with an 11-4 victory at Jopson Field on Sunday.

FRANK LONGO each had two runs batted in as the Red Hawks moved past the .500 mark at 6-5 with their second consecutive win.
Baran got the Red Hawks on the board two batters into the game with a solo blast. The Eagles (9-6) answered with three runs in the bottom of the inning. Scott Hearn doubled in a run before Chip Woody and JP Estes went back-to-back with homers putting the host team in front 3-1.
A sacrifice fly in the second by Wurst cut the deficit to a run and three more in the third gave the Red Hawks the lead for good. Longo tripled in the first two with
JEFF SCHRIBER adding a sac fly for a 5-3 MSU advantage.
Ellerson pushed the lead to 6-3 in the fourth with a double and Allan's two-run single made it a five-run advantage. Wurst homered an inning later with Woody going deep for the second time in the sixth making the score at 9-4. Montclair closed out the game with two runs in the eighth on an RBI double by Ellerson and run-scoring single from
KERI MORGAN.
Allan, who went 3-for-4 at the plate, got the victory on the mount as he improved to 2-0. The lefty went the first six inning allowing four runs and six hits with six strikeouts and four walks.

The Red Hawks return to New Jersey and are at Yogi Berra Stadium for the first time on Saturday, March 24. MSU faces Cortland at 2:00 pm. Last season, Montclair beat the Red Dragons at home in March before Cortland handed Montclair State a 5-1 setback in the opening game of the NCAA Division III World Series in Appleton, WI.
