Upper Montclair, NJ - The Montclair State University women's soccer team remained undefeated and stretched its unbeaten streak to seven games with a 0-0 double-overtime tie with visiting Richard Stockton College in a New Jersey Athletic Conference game at Sprague Field.
Montclair is now 5-0-2 overall and 1-0-1 in NJAC play, while Stockton is 5-2-1 overall and 1-0-1 in conference action. The tie did put an end to MSU's five-game winning streak, which dated back to Sept. 2.
The Red Hawks outshot the Ospreys, 13-5.
SHANNON HART (Toms River, NJ/Toms River East) and
JESSICA KOCH (Blackwood, NJ/Triton) each had a team-high three shots for MSU, while Sarah Miller (Brigantine, NJ/Highland) made nine saves in goal for Stockton. MSU also had seven corner kicks on the night, while RSC finished with five.
MSU gets back to NJAC action at William Paterson University on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m., before returning home against Rowan University on Saturday at noon.
