Women's Basketball Tops William Paterson for Third Straight Win

Box Score Wayne, NJ - Junior center JASMINE BATTS (Carteret, NJ/Carteret) finished with 16 points, 10 in the second half as Montclair State won its third straight game with a 53-49 victory in New Jersey Athletic Conference women's basketball action at the WPU Rec Center on Wednesday evening.

STEPHANIE ELLERBE (Pennsauken, NJ/Pennsauken) scord 12 of her 15 points in the second half as well as the Red Hawks (8-9, 5-6 NJAC) over came a 43-34 deficit in the final minutes of the game.

Ellerbe, who had just three points up until the decisive run, scored seven straight to tie the game at 43-43. STEPHANIE CROLEY (Piscataway, NJ/Piscataway) then gave Montclair its first lead since the opening moments of the game with a basket to make the score 45-43.

Montclair State swept the season series with the Lady Pioneers. MSU posted a 63-54 win at Panzer Gymansium back on November 28th.
