Wilkes-Barre, PA (10/26/02) - Visiting Montclair State University broke open a scoreless tie with two goals over the game's final 14 minutes as the Red Hawks earned a 2-1 victory over the King's College field hockey team Saturday at Betzler Fields.
The win was the fourth straight for Montclair State.
After a scoreless first half, Montclair took a 10 lead when

The Red Hawks added to their lead with 9:24 left when
LEA SMITH (Littlestown, PA/Littlestown) scored off a assist by
MELISSA HERBERT (Somerville, NJ/Somerville).
King's would get on the scoreboard when Kelly Poncheri converted a penalty stroke with 3:02 remaining but Montclair held on for the victory as the Lady Monarchs slipped to 10-7 on the year.

TRISHA WINKLE (Forked River, NJ/Lacey Township) stopped a season-high 25 shots as she recorded her 10th win for the Red Hawks, who improved to 10-3 on the season.
