SARAH LEVINE (Pompton Plains, NJ/Pequannock) scored all four goals as the Montclair State (11-3) field hockey team stretched its winning streak to five with a 4-1 win over Eastern Connecticut on Wednesday afternoon.
Levine, who took over the team lead in goals, tied the MSU record last accomplished by Julia Rosdivito against host Hood College in the season opener in 2000.
Levine scored her first goal of the contest with 19:38 to play in the first half as she scored unassisted giving the Red Hawks a 1-0 lead at intermission.
In the second-half Megan Ulicny (Edgewood, NJ/Edgewood) slid a pass to Levine who knocked it past Jennifer Makwana for a 2-0 advantage with 21:33 to play. Levine recorded the hat trick just over a minute later. The Warriors (7-8) finally got on the board with 9:58 left as Kristin Therkelsett scored.
Levine then completed the scoring with 16 seconds left.
TRISHA WINKLE (Forked River, NJ/Lacey Township) stopped eight shots, including a penalty stroke for her 11th win of the season. Montclair outshot ECSU, 14-10.
