San Diego, CA (12/28/02) - The Montclair State Women's Basketball Team rebounded from their one-point loss on Friday with a resounding 78-52 victory over Coe Collefe (Iowa) in the Consolation Bracket of the San Diego Surf n' Slam Tournament held at Point Loma Nazarene University.

Freshman EBONY ALLEN (Camden, NJ/Woodrow Wilson) scored a game-high 21 points and grabbed seven rebounds as the Red Hawks (6-3) improved to 1-1 in the tournament.

Senior guard ERIN SCHULTZ (West Milford, NJ/West Milford) added 12 for Montclair State, which held Coe College to just 23 percent shooting in the first half (6-of-26) while building a 42-27 halftime lead.

SHIKEENA LYNARD (Carney's Point, NJ/Penns Grove) had eight points and eight rebounds off the bench, whil STEPHANIE CROLEY (Piscataway, NJ/Piscataway) had seven points and six rebounds.

The Red Hawks complete their tournament schedule on Monday, December 30th against either Rowan University or St. Joseph's College (NY). Montclair will return home and face The College of New Jersey at home on January 11th.
